Paul Snider

Paul Snider is a Canadian actor, comedian, musician and filmmaker from Vancouver, BC. He has appeared in over 80 short films, movies, television episodes and TV/Internet commercials. Paul's stand-up comedy has appeared on the stages of Yuk Yuk's and The Comedy Mix in Vancouver, Canada, and at The City Limits Comedy Club in Dublin, Ireland. Paul’s feature film Everywhere But Here and his short film The Walk, both of which he wrote, produced, directed and played the lead roles, appeared in film festivals in Vancouver, LA, Tampa, New York, Winnipeg and Toronto. The Walk won Best Actor and Best Director awards at The Creative Arts Film Festival 2014. It garnered Paul the Award of Excellence in Filmmaking and his music video Better Than Me won The Royal Reel Award at The Canada International Film Festival. As well as film, Paul has appeared in musicals and theatre productions, winning a Thea Award for his performance in The Boys Next Door.
In 2008, after a successful business career in technology which garnered him Business in Vancouver’s Top 40 Under 40 Award and Ernst and Young’s Company of the Year, he opened his entertainment production company Born To Fly Entertainment which produces film, music and theatre projects. Among many film projects, he wrote his musical The Curtain and produced a full-cast CD recording. 
He created his original musical Junk! The Musical which premiered at The Vancouver Fringe Festival in 2014. This became The Music of Junk, a touring musical theatre show composed of invented original instruments built from recycled materials. In 2018 Paul released his solo music CD recording The Letter on which he performs his original folk rock songs. Currently he is developing a new music theatre show which will premiere at the Vancouver Fringe Festival, September 7 to 17, 2023. It is called the Orchestra of Sound, in which Paul performs music using hundreds of sounds from all around us.
Paul's most recent set of short films are his SOLO DUET series, in which he uses visual effects to play two characters on the screen at the same time, interacting with each other in hilarious ways. The first film, simply named SOLO DUET, appeared in film festivals around the world throughout 2022 and 2023. The second in the series, his newest film, SOLO DUET: Who's On First, has Paul performing both sides of the classic duet made famous by Abbott and Costello. This film is currently being submitted to film festivals throughout North America.
